GEORGE FLYNN
ACTOR/WRITER/DIRECTOR
George was an Award Winning Actor, Writer and Director and the Host of the “Words of Freedom” Radio Show. He Co-Produced three independent feature films and written screenplays on assignment for production companies in California & Colorado.
He was the Screenwriter and Co-Producer on the Motion Picture "Set Apart" starring Richard Roundtree, (Shaft & Speed Racer), John Schneider, (Dukes of Hazzard & Smallville) and Jennifer O'Neill, (Rio Lobo & Summer of '42).
"Set Apart", (Sony Pictures/Provident Films), focuses on the interaction of GunnPoint Music and the inner city ministry, The Power Company Kids Club.
His unique blend of experience, talent and creativity made him well-equipped to handle a wide range of media responsibilities. His work as the Talent, Music & Casting Director on Hanna-Barbera/Turner Entertainment’s CD-ROM game “The Pagemaster”. is an excellent example.
In this position he cast & directed 40 Actors as they played over 100 characters, supervised the re-orchestration of James Horner’s Original Motion Picture Score and created a 100 piece music library for the game. He also directed the creation & design of hundreds of custom sound effects & exotic ambiences.
The final result, over 1,000 scenes, “sweetened” with wall-to-wall music & sound effects, helped “The Pagemaster” game become the best selling children’s CD-ROM Game, the year it was released.
Mr. Flynn provided Producer/Director & Talent services for such clients as: United Artists; Turner Entertainment; Hanna-Barbera; Hemisphere Entertainment; Putnam/Berkley; AT&T; IBM; Entenmann’s/Oroweat; Ringling Bros./Barnum & Bailey; Zenith; CompuServe; Cellular One; TV Guide and many others.
Mr. Flynn had over 40 years producing, directing and acting experience. He worked on numerous projects in New York, Florida & Denver and was familiar with all facets of media production. From 1980 through 2011, he was a highly active participant in the Colorado Media Production Industry and was well-known as a vigorous ally of the Colorado Motion Picture & Television Commission, the Denver Film Society and the Denver International Film Festival.
He's served as both President & Vice President of the Colorado Film/Video Association. For decades, Mr. Flynn taught various Media classes for the University of Colorado, Arvada Center for the Arts, Red Rocks Community College, Colorado Film School, Art Institute of Colorado, Aims Community College and others.
With his wide range of knowledge and experience in Audio, Video and Film Production and thorough familiarity with Colorado's media community & resources, he had been constantly busy, lending his expertise to local and national productions.
